Friday 9 & Saturday 10 September, 2022

What is Conflux?

Over two days in September, creative trailblazers will converge in Bendigo for thought provoking conversations, informative workshops, inspirational performance and purposeful connection. Conflux will inspire creatives in progressing their creative practice, create a place and opportunity for collaboration while influencing public sector policy and private enterprise thinking by challenging norms around creativity.

Comprising panel discussions, masterclasses, practitioner presentations, group forums, lively debates, Q&As, workshops, networking opportunities, performance, installations and more; Conflux is diverse in its offering, bringing a festival vibe to a business focused event, with potential for a marketplace, open studios and exhibitions.

Conflux’s two-day program is curated for creatives with a commercial focus, wanting to be inspired and looking for opportunities for collaboration. Public and private sector representatives wanting to use and showcase creativity and engage more effectively with the creative community will also form a significant portion of attendees.

Conflux’s program focuses on three themes:

‘A Brave New World’ – how can creatives harness and drive emerging technology and themes to deliver ground-breaking new works? What role does creativity play in driving innovation?

‘Amplify’ – how do we build the skills, capacity and confidence of our creative industries in a way that grows individual creative practice and further expands the sector’s economic and public value?

‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ – how do we unleash people's creative potential within the evolving "knowledge economy”?

Who do we want to hear from?

Conflux wants to hear all the huge, wild ideas you’ve been harbouring around a presentation, workshop, discussion, masterclass, debate, performance, installation or even something that hasn’t quite got a label yet.   We are keen on uncovering the big questions and ideas that keep you awake at night, drive you to get out of bed in the morning, keep you creating and working- let us in on your wildest thoughts and concepts so audacious that they might even scare you a little.

We are looking for creators, academics, artists, policy-makers, performers, provocateurs to join us in pushing the boundaries on what a creative gathering can be, so please don’t hold back!

How do I get Involved?

Whether you are looking to present a talk, join a panel, perform a theatre piece, create an installation or anything in between we would love to hear from you.
Please submit multiple forms for seperate proposals.
