What is the significance of living in a Creative City?
This week we undertake a lively conversation with panelists about creativity in regional cities. UNESCO Creative Cities status has been granted to Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo, each city showcasing their strength in Design, Craft and Folk Art and Gastronomy respectively.
What does this mean for local creatives living and working in regional areas and how can we work at leveraging creative opportunities for the expanding creative sector.
Join Tara Poole, from the City of Ballarat, Tim Ellis, from City of Greater Geelong and Trevor Budge from City of Greater Bendigo as they discuss their motives behind the pursuit of Creative Cities designation. We will also talk creativity and discuss the opportunity for supporting a regional creative cities network as well as the importance of creating a platform for regional perspectives on a world stage.
